Events Assistant

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a full time Events Assistant to join our friendly team!

You will be responsible for assisting with organising and managing meetings, weddings and events, as well as dealing with all general reservation enquiries. The ideal candidate will be able to assist with managing and driving the Events & Banqueting Sales across Lucknam Park to maximise potential revenue whilst providing 5-star customer service.

Events Assistant responsibilities:

  • To assist with taking bookings and ensuring all guests receive an excellent level of service
  • To assist with ensuring that all emails and answerphone message are responded to promptly and efficiently.
  • To assist with building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients/suppliers
  • To assist with giving prospective weddings and events clients tours of the hotel, explaining all possible options for the event.
  • Acting as host/hostess for major events when required.

Experience and skills required to fulfil the role:

  • Positive, friendly and professional attitude
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (in person, email and telephone)
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Fluent in English – verbal and written
  • Proficient in computer software such as Excel and Word as well as specific reservation, event software
  • Experience dealing with difficult situations and complaints

We are offering a competitive salary for a full time position working 40 hours over 5 days. Shifts will be according to business needs and may include evenings, weekends and Public/Bank Holidays if required.

Due to the location of the property it is advisable to have your own transport.
